Puff Stitch Chevrons Make The Best Texture Ever

Two classics collide and the results are SO worth it. Puff stitches give this pattern all the texture, but they don’t complicate the chevron shaping one bit — that happens on totally different rows. In other words, this deliciously textured, delightfully zig-zaggy pattern is easier than it looks.

Crochet hook (we used a 5.5 mm hook)

Puff Stitch (puff st): Yo, pull up a loop where indicated in the pattern, [yo, pull up a loop in the same st] twice, yo, pull through all loops on hook.

To start, ch a multiple of 17 + 21.

Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from hook (starting ch 2 counts as dc), sc in next 8 chs, [sk 2 chs, sc in next 7 chs, 5 sc in the next ch, sc in next 7 chs] across to last 11 chs, sk 2 chs, sc in next 8 chs, 2 sc in the last ch, turn.
